We conducted the first Kalkan survey back in 2010, when 388 KTLN members took part. The last one we ran was back in 2016 when 590 of you participated. We think it's time to ask you once again what you think of Kalkan.
It will be interesting to discover whether views of Kalkan have changed over the years. And given the prospects for tourism generally this year it would be useful to know what people are thinking.
Why are we doing this survey?
The purpose of the survey is to gather some basic information about the people who visit or live in Kalkan. If you have views about any aspect of Kalkan life, now is your chance to have your say.
Summarised data will be shared with you, our KTLN readers, and also with the Kaş Belediye, who are always interested to find out more about the people who visit the town.
What will happen as a result of this survey?
This survey is simply a means of gathering information that we think will be both interesting to our readership, and to the Belediye.
When does the survey take place?
Very soon. We will let you know when the survey starts. The survey will run for ten days.
What about my privacy?
As always we guarantee your personal privacy. Individual answers never have been, and never will be shared or discussed with anyone outside the KTLN admin team unless you have given us your specific permission.
And nobody will be contacting you to sell you anything! You have our word on that.
You will note that in our survey we have avoided asking a number of personal questions, such as those relating to income, marital status, religion, race, gender etc. Further, no individual Kalkan businesses will be identified or mentioned in the published analysis.
Why do it now?
This is a continuation of our earlier surveys. We would like to identify any changes in perceptions, and any emerging trends.
KTLN is in a unique position to provide some value adding analysis that we believe many will find interesting and useful.
Are you asking exactly the same questions as before?
The survey is almost identical to last time, with just a few tweaks. For example this year we are asking you to comment on the impact of Coronavirus.
How do I complete the survey?
We will publish an article over the coming days that will contain a link to the online survey form. Keep watching KTLN
If you have any difficulty with the survey link, please get in touch and we will help you.
How long will it take to complete?
The survey should take around 15 minutes of your time. It's all done online, and is very easy to complete.
Who can take part?
The survey is designed for people who have visited Kalkan, or live there. If that's not you, we would ask you please, not to take part. Other than that, anyone can do it.
We are really looking for just one response per household, however if you feel strongly about having your own say, we don't mind if more than one person per household takes part.
We regret that we can only provide the questions in English, but people of other nationalities are welcome to take part.
Please help us to spread the word about this survey
Of course, this is entirely voluntary, however if you love Kalkan as much as we do, we hope you will give it a go. Please mention this to people who may not already be aware of KTLN. Help us to get the biggest response ever.
To encourage participation we are including a fun competition question in the survey. Answer the competition question correctly and your name will go in to a draw to win a meal for two at your favourite Kalkan restaurant, up to a value of 250TL. There is one prize only and there is no cash alternative. The prize can be taken any time up to 31st December 2021. The winner will be chosen at random by the KTLN admin team and advised by email before the end of June 2020.
When will we see the results?
The resulting analysis will be published some time later this month in June 2020.
